Executive Direction
This team provides overall leadership, strategic vision, and policy direction for D4Science. They are responsible for setting the long-term goals of the infrastructure, ensuring alignment with broader organisational objectives, representing D4Science to external stakeholders at the highest level, and overseeing talent acquisition and recruitment.
Leonardo Candela
Leads the research activities of D4Science and manages strategic planning, policy definition, and portfolio management. Responsible for identifying new research opportunities. Developing strategic research partnerships, and ensuring that D4Science research activities are aligned with its long-term strategic goals.
Elisa Molinaro
Responsible for the financial health and sustainability of the infrastructure. This includes managing the budget, financial planning, resource allocation, financial reporting, and ensuring financial compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Pasquale Pagano
Leads and directs D4Science, ensuring its effective operation and alignment with its mission and vision. Responsible for strategic decision-making and representing D4Science to external stakeholders. Overseeing the performance of all divisions, and managing talent acquisition and recruitment processes
Management and Operations Division
Responsible for the overall operational management and strategic execution of the infrastructure's activities. It encompasses a range of crucial functions, from technical oversight and information systems management to stakeholder engagement and service catalogue management. This includes ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services to users, managing day-to-day operations, and overseeing testing, release, and operational activities related to the services offered by the infrastructure.
Dr. Massimiliano Assante
Provides overall leadership and strategic direction ensuring the effective operational management and strategic execution of D4Science's infrastructure activities. This includes overseeing all aspects of service delivery, day-to-day operations, research, development, testing, and release activities related to the services offered by the infrastructure, ensuring alignment with D4Science mission and vision.
Dr. Gianpaolo Coro
Responsible for the building and maintenance of relationships with external stakeholders, including research communities, funding agencies, and other relevant organizations. This also includes disseminating information about D4Science activities, services, and research products to promote its use and impact through various communication channels.
Giancarlo Panichi
Responsible for the management of the release of new features and for updating the infrastructure. This includes coordinating release planning, testing, and deployment, ensuring minimal service disruption.
Infrastructure and Security Division
Responsible for managing the infrastructure's hardware and connectivity, automating service configuration, and ensuring security. This includes planning, procuring, and maintaining the infrastructure's computing hardware, network connectivity, and related resources, ensuring its availability, capacity, and performance to meet the needs of D4Science's services and users.
Andrea Dell'Amico
Responsible for the infrastructure’s hardware, connectivity, and security, focusing on planning, procuring, and maintaining computing resources and networks. It ensures availability, capacity, and performance to meet the needs of D4Science services and users
Tommaso Piccioli
Responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the infrastructure and its data. This includes implementing security policies and procedures, monitoring security threats, and managing incident response.
Dr. Marco Procaccini
Manages cloud engineering and Cloud infrastructure aspects. This includes deploying and managing components and ensuring the stability and performance of the cloud environment.
Dr. Antonio Calanducci
Manages the integration and configuration of third-party applications and services within the D4Science infrastructure. This includes ensuring seamless interoperability between different systems and managing service dependencies.
